The works increased the building surface to allow larger storing and display room and enlarged the existing space outwards. Adding decking, a sunroof and windbreakers created an ideal space for customer dining and repose, a space intended for socialization where locals and tourists alike can enjoy a meal or snack in a cozy environment.
This project was only possible thanks to the support of Kluane First Nation and two Yukon Government funding programs:
- The Community Development Fund supported Kluane Energy LP to develop in late 2022 architectural design drafting and civil design works for the potential addition
- The Community Tourism Destination Development Fund provided financial support for the construction.
